Data collection not quite complete (later today) but I have a statistically significant K-40 peak detected now.
Another interesting project is tobacco leaves which alegedly concentrate Polonium (I read somewhere) and that contributes to it's carcinogenic properties. However it is a weak alpha emitter so probably not easy to discriminate and so the 103 might not be up for it. Perhaps the 103-G would have been a better option for these experiments but it's a lot more expensive.

Nice. It will be interesting seeing your background and then subtracting it from the bananas spectrum.
ETA: Whoo! I have just finished a 90 day experiment to capture and measure radon progeny from Uraninite. I've just finished the last sampling now so time to get the data together and write it up. I'll do that at some point soon.
And Brazil nuts concentrate Radium, apparently. Also the human body emits a small amount of K-40 and C-14 (Carbon-14), as we have it in us.Another interesting project is tobacco leaves which alegedly concentrate Polonium

Looking forward to your results!
I'll post results on banana experiment in a new thread.
